Beyonce and Jay-Z engaged rumors fuelled again
One eyewitness said, “She was wearing a huge diamond ring on her ring finger. When she noticed that I and some others noticed the rock, she quickly hid her hand. Then she reached behind her to where her bag was, and after placing her hand in her bag, the ring disappeared!”
Meanwhile, the former Destiny’s Child singer has signed up to star in new thriller Obsessed, in which she plays the wife of a man targeted by a female stalker. She will star alongside Heroes beauty Ali Larter in the film directed by Steve Shill. She had earlier received critical acclaim for her role in 2006 hit movie Dreamgirls and recently has announced she will be playing blues singer Etta James in Cadillac Records.

New Year's Eve Openning of Palazzo
The power couple of Jay-Z and Beyoncé appear to have the most prosperous start on 2008. Starting with the New Year's Eve opening of Jay-Z's $20 million 40/40 Club at the Palazzo (The Venetian's new sister property that otherwise gets a low-key soft opening).
Since they already would be here, why not do some shows? Beyoncé announced a Sunday encore of the concert she brought to the Strip in late August. Jay-Z waited until Dec. 15 to put tickets on sale for a Saturday show at the Palms.
The two also are expected to perform together during the two-night kickoff of the sports-themed 40/40 Club on Sunday and the club's official New Year's bash on Monday.
Competition on the club scene results in a crush of celebrity-hosted events. They make it confusing to sort out who's in town for a traditional show and who isn't.

Is JAY Z'S about to get sued?
For months now, Rocawear has been engaged in a successful I Will Not Lose ad campaign. The problem is there's an Atlanta company called I Will Not Lose that already sells urban sportswear.
And according to official legal documents obtained by MediaTakeOut.com, Jay Z and Rocawear were repeatedly served with notice that the I Will Not Lose campaign infringed on the Atlanta company's trademark. But Rocawear continues the campaign - without even so much as responding to the company's notices.

Jay-Z Celebrates His Birthday In Paris With Beyonce
Ashley Dickson - Celebrity News Service News Writer
Paris, France (CNS) - Despite their busy schedules, celebrity power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles found time to have a quiet celebration together in Paris to mark Jay-Z's 38th birthday.
After joining Kanye West on stage for a surprise performance in England on December 2nd, Jay-Z headed to the Hotel Meurice in Paris where his longtime "bootylicious" girlfriend joined him for a quiet day of rest and relaxation.
Jay-Z has been known for staging elaborate birthday celebrations in the past but this year opted for a more private affair, spending most of the day in his hotel suite.
According to sources, Knowles took time to hit the hotel's luxury spa before the couple took a romantic limo ride around the city ending at the popular L'Avenue restaurant for dinner.
After a late dinner, Jay-Z and Beyonce headed over to the famed Crazy Horse cabaret where they sipped champagne and watched nude dancers run through the club's latest show, "Forever Crazy."
Jay-Z and Beyonce have been linked together since their collaboration on Jay-Z's 2002 song "03 Bonnie and Clyde," but the two continue to try and keep their romantic relationship out of the public spotlight.

Jay-Z better boyfriend after father's death

London, Dec 1 - The death of his father has made rapper Jay-Z become a better boyfriend to R&B singer Beyonce Knowles.
The death in 2003 helped him open up emotionally and taught him the importance of dealing with emotional issues, contactmusic.com reported.
He said: 'When I was young, the person I looked up to most was my father, and once I experienced that hurt, the separation from the guy you thought was Superman, you never want to feel that hurt again.'
Jay-Z believes his relationship with Beyonce has improved as a result of his emotional bravery. 'I'm sure she thinks I'm closed off. I'm working on it. Just trying to deal with emotional issues, taking them on proactively. Before, I wouldn't even address it,' he said.
Jay-Z's father had left him when he was just 12 years old and the father and son only reconciled just before the father's death.
