Beyonce to Record Country Album

It looks like Beyonce is crazy in love ... with country music. The diva recently performed a country version of 'Irreplaceable' with Sugarland, and has been so inspired by the genre that she enlisted the help of singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost to work on her next album.

"Beyonce wants to try something completely different," a source tells British newspaper The Sun. "She's a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it".

Ghost has writing credits on James Blunt's hit 'You're Beautiful,' Beyonce and Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar,' and Jordin Sparks' 'Tattoo.'

The Beyonce Experience - Live

When I use the term "diva" in regards to Beyonce, I mean it in the sense that Beyonce, to me, is singularly a force of nature. This is demonstrated best with her latest concert DVD release, "The Beyonce Experience - Live" which arrived in stores Nov. 20. Filmed on Sept. 2 -- her 26th birthday -- during a sold out, standing room only concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, 'Experience' contains more than two hours of music by the pop superstar and cultural icon.
Throughout the elaborate show, Beyonce delivers all she; tears during the poignant ballad 'Flaws & All,' embodying the essence of sensuality on the sexy song 'Speechless'; and demonstrating sheer exuberance and dancing up a storm songs like 'Get Me Bodied,' 'Freakum Dress' and 'Beautiful Liar.' Hands down: this DVD is proof positive that Beyonce IS the "stuff" that entertainment legends are made of. Run to the stores and add a copy to your holiday gift list (for yourself).

Beyonce blames her clumsiness for mishaps

London, Nov 21 - American singer Beyonce Knowles is blames her clumsiness and not her clothing for her on stage mishaps. The 21-year-old had famously fallen down a set of stairs during a concert, an outside source reports. But she says accidents happen very often and she can't blame her fashion choices for all of them. She said: 'I recently fell down the stairs because my heel got caught in the hem of my coat. But really, I have fallen down the stairs a lot of times, so I can't only blame it on the coat.'

She puts on a fantastic live show. She is always moving, dancing and singing..mix this with heels ... and HUMAN things happen. She doesn't need to explain it!

Beyonce Goes Bluegrass at the AMAs with Sugarland

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Beyonce went bluegrass in a surprise performance with country band Sugarland at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

Even Ne-Yo was impressed.

"The bluegrass version," the R&B star said backstage while watching a monitor of Beyonce's performance of her hit "Irreplaceable" with Sugarland. "It ain't bad."

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles said the idea was hatched by the country duo's publicist because they perform the song in their act.

"A good thing about a good song is it can be played in any genre," she said. "I'm up for anything. I love it."

Nettles said backstage that she was nervous going note-for-note with Beyonce.

"We were face to face, and there were a couple times when she was looking at me and I was blushing because I thought I was going to turn to stone in her beauty," Nettles said. "She is so talented and so grounded."

Nettles' musical partner Kristian Bush was witness to it all.

"I was the luckiest man," he said.

Beyonce Smiles Big in Seoul

Beyonce got a little too made up yesterday to meet some fans and sign autographs at a department store in Seoul. She may be suffering a bit of backlash in Ethiopia, but it looks like they still have plenty of love for B in South Korea. Unfortunately, Jay-Z might be missing his hard-working, world-traveling lady as his album soars this week to #1, but we guess all celebrity couples have to make some sacrifices. Ok maybe the jewelry is a bit too much :).

Beyonce Billboard Upsets Las Vegas Locals

An advertisement featuring a bikini-clad Beyonce Knowles has angered locals in Las Vegas, after they complained the billboard was "obscene." The R&B beauty appears on an advert for the city's KWNZ radio station, but residents in Sin City are petitioning to have the raunchy image taken down.

Resident Pamela Keeney says, "It's obscene. I have my two little grandkids coming over here, and they don't need to be seeing that. You can change the channel on the TV but you can't change that."

But KWNZ has stood by the billboard and has received the backing of city spokesman Chris Good.

Scott Seidenstricker, manager of KWNZ, says, "The billboards were taken from publicity shots and this is the way those people perform. So to show them in a jogging suit probably wouldn't be the right thing."

Good adds, "It complies with all the locational criteria that are set out in our (advertising) code (of conduct)."
